Amazing trees. I can't tolerate the heat either. You go outside, and it's like stepping into an oven! My Dr. Office I clean, is around 80 degrees. Hot for moving around cleaning.

Ruby. That just proves we all get uglier with age x
We've many trees as old, lots of ancient forests. Lots of buildings, churches and castles too.
Sadly Henry viii had thousands of churches, monasteries, nunneries and cathedrals destroyed in 16th century.
You should come & have a look ๐
In the U.S. I've only been to Washington DC & drove to a wedding on Long Island & back. It was always my dream to motorcycle across the U.S. . On my bucket list tho'!
Hi Ruby that's a big old tree! Looks like you could fit Robin hood and his merry men in it! Phew you must be hot! Hope you can find some cool spots, it must be better working nights in the summer. huff xxx
Hi Ruby,๐ sending a cool breeze your way ๐ wooosh! ๐๐ถ Yes I loved the little chocolate Lab you posted, I replied , it's so cute๐ that was more like a month ago so I guess its time you saw an update on my scoobydoo ๐๐......
Good Morning Miss Ruby, aren't trees wonderful, I live in Kent, there is a magnificent house and deer park in Sevenoaks called Knole Park, Knole is called the calendar house, that is because of the number of rooms it has, It is owned by the Sackville family, It was built around 1456, Henry the 8th purchased more land around 1556. In 1987 70 % of the tree's were destroyed when we suffered a hurricane , it cost over a million pounds to replace them, On a nearby estate there is a sweet chestnut tree dating back to 1509. Couldn't that tree tell some tales ! Take care, very best wishes Bulpit
Thats really interesting history. I'll have to see some photos of Kent. I'm becoming intrigued with trees. The shapes and how long they live. Its fun. Its good to hear from you.
Hi Ruby don't know this particular tree but yes it very likely could e 500 years old or even older. I can't remember how old the Major Oak in Sherwood Forest is - it would not have been around when Robin Hood was said to have been there but it is very old. Will try and post a picture of it for you as we were there recently. Where do you live Ruby? Sounds hot enough to be Florida where my grandsons live. Can't visit when it is hot and humid as it does me in.
I live in New Jersey. Today is in the 80s. Much better.๐ I think I'm going to do a board on trees on my pinterest. Their really amazing......Where do you live?
Oh yes. There you get extremes of all weathers by the sound of it. Never visited but would like to. My partner and his sons have stayed in New Jersey on their way to a skiing holiday in Lake Placid. Really cold there the coldest they have ever been when skiing. I live in Pembrokeshire, South West Wales. When I go to our beach the nearest land over the ocean is probably Florida where my partner's youngest son lives and his two grandsons - but it is a long way away. I dare say some of your Californian Giant Redwoods are thousands of years old too. I love trees and did a prize winning exhibition on them when I was 14. Ooo! That is a long time ago now!
