Good Morning Kookie85 - Thats a bit of a nuisance to have it back again. On the plus side you will be getting the tablets and god willing you will start to feel much better soon. My husband finds that the whole cycle of antibiotics etc. can be quite depressing so please take good care of yourself. Be kind to yourself and enjoy the shady spot under the magnolia, lots of love TAD xxx

Oh kookie sorry to hear this - pretty constant infections are so draining. My frequent pet is HI in the main (with others thrown in just to keep me on my toes).

Glad you are quickly on the abs and I sooo hope they do the trick for you and control the damn pseudo.

Healing hugs to you hun.

Bless you Kookie - get well very soon. Lots of love, Carole xxx

I always end up in hospital on IVs for 14 days with Pseudomonas. No tablets I can take. I did have a 3 months course of nebulised Colymicin after my IVs back in 2012, and was supposed to have Cipro too, but they gave me Tendonitis.

I normally do end up in hospital for IV .i also had colmicin didn't do anything . I do get fed up with pills , they really upset my stomach . If the work it's worth it . Take care good to know there is someone out there who understands .kookie

poemsG could they not organise for you to have home IV, or at least just visit the hospital out patients every day for it , Most large hospital have the facility now for out patients to come every day for chemo or IV ab's . That would at least save been an in patient

Kookie85 profile image
Kookie85 in reply toSohara

What a good idea ,it would save a lot of money and time . Kookie

I do have home meds, but this last time I was too ill to cope with it, plus I was on oxygen for 10 days, so had to stay in. As the Tazocin didn't work, they changed my IVs to Meropenham. I was drifting in and out of consciousness for 3 days, and when I did come round I was vomiting every 15 minutes. I think there was a bit more going on than they told me, because I did 3 sputum samples and none of them grew any bugs!!

I wouldn't want to travel to the hospital every day, we don't have transport so it would have been a 3 bus job, or hospital transport which isn't very reliable. I used it for my chemotherapy sessions and still use it for my appointments. But as I said, not very reliable. :-(

Thanks for the punctuation heads up. I have a terrible habit of using capital letters on most of my posts. Just being lazy I guess. I never would yell just so you all know. Thanks again

Of course he wasnt visiting the ward Fibberti.

The staff at the heath hospital were on a skeleton crew most patients were sent home...they were telling us that due to Obama being in Cardiff they had to have to hospital ready in case he needed treatment which is ludicrous as he would not be sent to the heath.....I personally think it was down to the possibility of terrorist attacks...Cardiff had iron fencing placed around roads and armed police everywhere it was crazy

.i could not be put on the list to have my drip at home because the nurses who would have had to come out to me were only taking on serious cases because they were on high alert so my sister in law told me who works with them.

We have to remember who he is,,,we had all the roads cut off from Cardiff rhoose airport as they said he was landing there which was nonsense and Obama landed here a day early i was actually on the ward looking out the window when his 3 security helicopters came in ahead of him then this enormous chopper flew over with him in it
