I've just switched on my lap top to check out whats happening on Healthunlocked today and have had an amazing surprise. My daughter and her friend Lucy are swimming, Cycling, and Running the Birmingham City Triathlon on the 19th of July for the British Lung Foundation to raise as much money as possible for our cause, Lung Disease.
I am so proud of them for taking on this challenge and I am looking forward to watching them on the day where I am sure to take lots of action packed clips for you Healthunlockeders to enjoy.
One thing I know for sure is even though they will be working hard to finish in a good time, they will be smiling all the way. .
A massive thanks to all those who have already donated, every £pound that can be spared will go to the BLF which will in turn help us all in the battle against Lung Disease whatever form that may come in.
Brilliant Mechelle, every £ will help. That's how charity works en it, we all give a little and that in turn can amount to a significant amount which can make a difference.
How proud are you then Tony? Such lovely young ladies wanting to do good. Well done to them and hope all goes well when the time comes for them to do the Triathlon. Already donated happily and wish you well too while I am at it. xxx
I'm busting with pride, I think Sophie and Lucy are going to do a terrific job on the 19th of July and hopefully raise a big bag of cash for the BLF with their efforts.
Many thanks for your donation and well wishes sassy. xxxxxx
Do you think I should train with them, well I could swim the length of my bath, cycle across the road and run around my lawn, simples eh'.
What a lovely surprise you must have had, and you must be so proud too. I have already donated, and look forward to hearing all about it, and seeing the footage.
You must be so proud Tony of your daughter and Lucy. I can see where Sophie gets her spirit from. Look forward to hearing how they get on and seeing lots of piccies.
Know anyone with a Helicopter? . Hey maybe I should call upon my ICU dream Chinook helicopter, it saved me a few times back then so why not use it now Ha Ha.
When I hear one coming in the distance now I say to Sharon here comes my lift. .
Its totally amazing what pops up in those ICU wards ain't it.
Never came across any Dragons though, must be a southern thing. .
Seen one on healthunlocked though named Puff and he's just magic.
Wow that's great cheer them on for us won't you? They are both gorgeous but I must admit I would give my right arm to look like Lucy - she is a real stunner. x
" Awe Tony!.... I was just doing a little hop... skip... and jump to my loo... and to also let Nell and Noah out into the garden.....and what a Beautiful Full Moon there is shinning so brightly.... You should be as proud as punch...."where that saying came from" lol.. As i was saying before i interrupted myself. you must be so proud of your daughter Tony... what a Beautiful and thoughtful girl she is..a chip of the ole block......"another saying"..Well my Two Beautiful dogs are back in doors now.. so i am back of to me bed..i have left a little donation for the girls Tony......take care yourself..and have a lovely Sunday....xx Megan."
A big thanks for the donation Megan, its much appreciated by us all back at the Dall camp.
I looked out last night to see that clear full moon rising and it was a beauty wasn't it.
It seems the healthunlockeders have got us off to a great start, over £400.00 now and rising by the minute .
Tony.
Tony, I don't post much but I read stuff here every day. I always look out for your posts and have shown our best mate your exercise vids. He's going for an Echo this afternoon at Wythenshawe and is hoping to get on the transplant list there. He's had a load of other tests so fingers crossed. I tell him about your walks and he's been trying to keep up his fitness levels too so on that note, I'm very happy to donate to the cause!
I love to hear positive vibes about my crazy little exercise videos. I have a bit of fun making them although I'm normally to out of breath to say much.
The message I try to send out is exercise is good for us and even though its hard for anyone with lung disease to do its still worth every drop of blood sweat and tears.
A great big thanks to you ILUG for the donation to our cause.
Hi Sheilab, There's no doubt that I'm very very proud of them both for this great idea to raise some much needed money for the BLF.
Thank you for your donation, its building up a tidy sum now considering its only the second day. .
Tony xxx
Hey Tony, that's a great thing that Lucy and Sophie are doing and we'll be there with them - well, in spirit at least Of course you're a proud dad and not only that but it's a lovely photo of the two of them...Lovelight x
Hi Lovelight, funny thing about the photo, the first one I put up wasn't good enough if you know what I mean so I was ordered to change it. You know what young girls are like. . They were right of course.
Thanks Lovelight, I'm looking forward to the day and getting some of it down on film, of course it will be posted on here later with the total money raised for the BLF.
Many thanks for your donation Margaret, everyone on HU have been amazing with their generosity.
Your not late at all, she doesn't do the triathlon until 19th July, we are very proud of them for taking on this challenge for the BLF, looking forward to it.
Yes flibberti, it seems that the amazing generosity of the Healthunlockeders have got them off to a great start. xxx
Sophie will be back home from Warwick Uni soon where she's studying to be a social worker. Then the fitness training will start with me as the personal trainer. .
