I would just like to thank you all for the amazing response I received after my disappointment over missing out on a lung transplant.

As usual it was Healthunlockeders to the rescue to console a fellow member in his hour of need.

No tears were shed over missing out but I admit to a little grit in the eye when reading your replies.

I'm very proud to be a part of this great Healthunlocked site where you get connected to such kind and generous people. :)

Lovin you all

Tony.

Loving you back Tony but I do admit to not knowing about you missing out on the lung transplant. I have been unwell and so has Pete so have not been on here quite as much. Will make up for it now though and wishing you well as always. You are such an inspiration to everyone on here.

Take care and stay strong Tony. Keep exercising and singing. xxxxx

Hi Tony,

I am so, so sorry that this has happened to you. Like Sassy, I had no idea that you had gone through all of this. Its awful luck, and for that abscess to appear just at that time, well, words fail me.

I do admire your bravery and strength, and I am sure another lung will become available, and as you h ave managed to keep yourself so fit, then it will be all systems go the next time, but I can only begin to imagine your disappointment.

As you say, we must never forget someone has died, but through their courage too someone else has a chance of life. Next time, it will be you, just keep fighting as you always do, and you are such an inspiration to everyone.

Take care,

hugs from Huggs xxxx :)

Like Sassy and Huggs I had no idea about the the reappearance of the abscess Tony. That must have been a huge disappointment for you but as usual you have put that aside and are just getting on with it. I don't think I have ever seen you when you are not cheerful and a real tonic for the rest of us.

So to echo Sassy, 'Take care, stay strong, keep exercising and singing.'

Lots of love old buddy. Sara xxxx

Oh such a disappointment for you, but reading your messages you are coping with it in your usual brave determined way. Keep on the up. xxx

Love to you too Tony. I think everyone here is hoping, praying and looking forward to you getting your transplant. You're so active already, we won't be able to keep up with you at all when you have your new lungs.

So sorry to hear this Tony, I missed your earlier post but just traced it back. What a let down but you have taken it with your usual calm approach. Internally, I shall swear & rage for you. It is sad that another has to die but that is life & I hope you get a new opportunity soon.

Love Mx
