Sorry...I slipped into misery mode yesterday...didn't mean to drag you down there with me though.
We went into Roscommon town this afternoon...car needing to be taxed...I had to go into Frances shop though...can't not go in there.
She was alarmed by the fact Himself hadn't parked directly outside where there was a ginormous space...I told her he said it wasn't allowed...unloading bay only, he said...she said what a load of rubbish...who's going to be unloading anything today...with a sweep of her arms to indicate the rain lashing down outside...so I told her what he'd done this morning.
Took the dogs out for their early morning walk and when he came home he went to change his Crocs...he looked dreadfully puzzled for a minute...he'd gone out wearing one Croc and one flip-flop.
Frances giggled...but a customer waiting behind me looked horrified...handed two balls of wool over with the correct money and made a hasty escape...
I didn't buy any more wool...my stash is already trying to escape from drawers and cupboards but I did get a length of fancy fringing to go round the lampshade on the standard lamp...
The grumpy woman who serves behind the counter in the paper/bookshop is very nice to me now I'm dragging my oxygen about...she smiles a sickly smile and asks if I'm alright...she's still a real misery with other customers though.
Lidls has been smartened up...it was heaving with people as well...came away with fresh Apricots and a jar of Black Cherries in syrup, thought they'd be delicious with ice-cream...going back on Monday because they'll have ice-cream makers for sale and I think it'd be worthwhile getting one.
Then we came home in the rain.
