Hope you are ready for a little joke this morning, seems to have been very serious on here lately. Its a lovely sunny morning here, Oh dear that means Ive got to get busy again, will it be more weeding or horrible house cleaning. Mustn't forget birthday card for son, anyone else have trouble finding the perfect card?
Harry walks into the pub. 'Hi, Harry,' say his mates. 'You put on a great show with your missus last night. You left the light on in your bedroom and we could see everything going on projected on the curtains.' 'Sorry, lads,' says Harry. 'The joke's on you. I wasn't home last night.'

Morning Iris, Good joke to start the day, lol. No hanging washing out here, as it is pouring rain, but the dreaded visit to the Co-op is looming! Its the only supermarket we have, so don't have much choice and it is pricey, but needs must.
Here is another joke to raise a smile or two.
hugs from Huggs xxx
A woman accompanied her husband to the doctor's office.
After his checkup, the doctor called the wife into his office alone. He said, "Your husband is suffering from a very severe stress disorder. If you don't do the following, your husband will surely die."
"Each morning, fix him a healthy breakfast. Be pleasant at all times. For lunch make him a nutritious meal. For dinner prepare an especially nice meal for him. Don't burden him with chores. Don't discuss your problems with him, it will only make his stress worse. No nagging. And most importantly, make love with your husband several times a week. If you can do this for the next 10 months to a year, I think your husband will regain his health completely."
On the way home, the husband asked his wife. "What did the doctor say?"
not at all, Huggs, gave me and my husband a good laugh. I read in yesterday's Mail there is a 40 per cent increase in the immune system's activity as a result of laughing. Just wish there were better comedy programmes on TV. Like the old ones, such as Only Fools and Horses, Fawlty Towers etc. Just to remember them makes me smile. iris x
Well, I have done my shopping now, and its belting down with rain, which of course got heavier the minute I went out! Typical. ha ha
I know what you mean about the old comedies such as you mention. I am lucky enough to have sky, so can get them all when they come on, but if you haven't got Sky you could maybe get some DVD's and they are fairly inexpensive if you shop around. I have a boxed set of George and Mildred, which I really enjoyed.
thats a good idea, yes, George & Mildred was another good one. Life can be so difficult and depressing. Mrs Browns boys makes me laugh. but its not for my husband, he likes Have I got news for you, which I don't like. iris x
I have never watched Mrs Browns Boys, and don't like Have I got news for you either. Another good one was Terry and June, and Porridge which I didn't watch the first time around. Birds of a Feather has resurfaced in a new series recently, and I think another is to be made.
Go on Iris, treat yourself! I got my DVD's through a postal company before I had a computer, but I don't think they are in existence anymore, but there will be places online to get them.
Thanks Iris! Guess we are all missing Fred this morning so a joke is just the thing to help us get the day going with a chuckle.
Good luck with the hunt for the perfect birthday card. So many decent card shops have closed down here lately that we are left with the supermarket variety. All very samey. xx
No one will go with me, when I pick out a card. It takes me forever to find the right one! Actually, it takes me forever to pick anything out. I am getting better. It used to take me wks. To pick a purse. Now I just get one at the cheap walmart. Trying not to be so fussy!
Hope you had a good sleep Ruby. Decisions, I linger so long over most purchases that they probably think Im a shoplifter! found a funny card for my son, they seem to prefer those to the sentimental sort. Had a job to find a clean one, not all suitable for a mum to send her son! Love Iris x
My wife, Brigid, brought me some magnolia and a planter. I got out of breath lifting the compost bag. So I'm going to leave the mowing and tidying up for my gardener. Typical me!)
funny, I can see the people on the opposite side of me in their bedroom! They are having an extension built. The chap told me it's for the kids when they grow up. Cheers, Mic
