Spent morning collecting signatures for Save Our NHS with 38 degrees friends.Passed more than 5000 collected locally to MP s of each party,apart from the Tories who did,nt bother to turn up which says it all really!,!Please vote! For anybody but the vile Tories!I,m not in the picture by the way,did,nt want to break the camera lol. 😎

Well done farmer, let's hope there's a good outcome on the 7th, I've said it before,and I quote gandi 'a society will be judged on how it treats the most vunerable people in that society'. I wouldn't mind paying a bit more in tax if it meant the end of food banks, and people had a decent roof over their heads, and there's an increase in a sense of social responsibility, hey ho let's hope xxx

Sadly farmer I have to disagree if it were not for the Tories controlling our local council we would of lost most of our services at our hospital and like you I and many others collected thousands of signatures and the labour party were no where to be seen.

I would be very careful of trying to persuade people which way to vote we must remember this is health unlocked and we come hear for support for our condition and your comment could upset and put people off using this site.

This is mainly an adult site and adults need to engage in politics,many people died for that right to vote.In the last five years of this government the richest thousand people in this country have seen their wealth doubled at the expense of the poor and disabled,that is obscene!D.

It wa sad labour who set up atos and his is why people like you a d I have to fight for benefit. The Tories have done nothing to replace this system that does not work I fear if labour or Tories return to government we will be no better off.

People should vote and like you said this is an adult site we are al over 18 and are intelligent enough to make up our own mind who we vote for. Remember this is BLF not a free advertising site for the labour party or any other party.

I DON,T promote the Labour Party on this site.I only point out that I am a member so people know where I stand.I wish there was a party that would do all the things I want done by government but we have put up with who are there,best of a bad lot but that,s life.

I'm not a member of any party and don't like being told who to vote for but for the last point look how rich Tony Blair is and does Gordon Brown live in a 3 bed semi they all feather there own nests what every party. As I have said this is a site to support people with lung conditions if we want a political site we have several to chose from

Well done farmer, for standing up for what you believe in. I for one agree with you. I saw a family who had lived in their home for over 20 years, who were made to move out because they couldn' t afford the spare bedroom tax. The Cons only care about the well off. Always have. xx

I signed petition on line. I agree with your sentiments NHS is getting eroded and staff are under immense pressure. We can't afford to let it slip into private hands, it all needs keeping in house.

I heard somewhere that nearly 1/2 the budget is spent on paying off loans and interest rather than spent on the NHS for improvements

Well done Farmer D, you put me to shame. I was asked about this but it was windy and cold, no breathe left to approach people. I am very uncertain about the nhs, certainly do not want to see it increasingly privatised. Problem is it does need change, instead of all political parties competing with sound bites about increasing doctors and nurses. I think Plumbob has a point about most of the money going to pay off debt. I think PFi, was a stupid short sighted policy, that has put all our years of nhs suport & contributions at risk. I also believe there should be limits on the percentage limits senior and executive can earn in relation to clinical staff. Well done again & best wishes, margaret x
