Has anyone else been affected by the cloud that came down this morning. I didn't hear anything about it on the TV news or weather. I was very worried when going shopping because my breathing was badly affected and my inhaler didn't help much. Heard about the pollution problem from the taxi driver.
Surely there could be some kind of warning of this type of problem.

Hi doublecc...picked this up on the news earlier today. Having a health blip at the moment and would have got to the local shops but have put it off for now.
I'm in the East Midlands and it's hoped that this toxic smog will have drifted away by the end of tomorrow.
It was colours post on here earlier today that alerted me, then it came on the radio and TV. The DEFRA Website on pollution gives good information too via a coloured map of the UK.
But my breathing problems started yesterday and just got worse today, so I have had to increase my medication. I wonder if the smog started on Wednesday
I read in the paper that it started in a small way a couple of days ago but got worse today. But I haven't had any here in Devon thank goodness. x
My breathing was bad this morning and put it down to the dust and tarmac fumes from the council workmen outside my home, but then heard about the cloud on the radio, so pleased to hear it should be gone by tomorrow. Hoping to see the eclipse around 9:30am tomorrow morning and it seems that in the East Midlands the weather conditions should be good for this.
yes news did say that peeps that have breathing difficulty should ovoid going out for couple of days yesterday could understand why i was so bad but stayed into day feel better
Hi Doublecee - it WAS featured in many Newspapers , on the Internet AND on Telly ! early morning broadcasts as a warning to us folk with any " Lung diseases " , so avoided going out all day, sorry you missed these "Announcements " .....
