just got letter back from lung specialist stating I have [the heart] concentric left vertriculer hypertrophy. What is this and can it increase my breathlessness, as it has got worse.

It seems to have the same characteristics as Pulmonary Hypertension which I have and treatment with Calcium Channel Blockers are used there too.
