Has anyone tried liquid oxygen. I've been changed to it. Because they have brought a new conserver out of what I can not get on with.

Hi Michelle, I have liquid oxygen and cylinders. I find the smaller liquid oxygen handy for short trips to the shops etc, but If I have to choose between the two I would take the ready filled cylinders every time.

Liquid oxygen is far more temperamental, just as heavy, the dewer that you fill from can suddenly empty overnight ( I've had this happen twice in 12 months) .

Ask if you can have both types then you have the best of both worlds. I have 8 cylinders with a conserver and a liquid oxygen pack without a conserver which I can easily alter the flow from 1 to 15 liters which is handy for different situations eg, going up or down hills.

Hi Michelle, I use the liquid oxygen and the cylinders. I have to go outside to fill the pack which I don't like doing and it doesn't last a long time so I never travel with it (I have only been using it since January). I use it inside the house on 4 or 6 litres per minute.

I also have 8 cylinders with a conserver to use and I use these outside the house as I know if I leave with a full cylinder it will last until I get back indoors.

I can cancel the liquid oxygen if I feel I don't want to continue using it.

Hope this help

I've had mine delivered today and they have taken my other cylinders away. They left me 2 portable for the liquid oxygen but they only last for 2 hours xx

Hi. I have been on liquid oxygen for years and find it the best for me. I have a dewar delivered every two weeks and put in the garage and the flasks that I now use will last me all day on one fill, and I am on 4lt/min. It is for ambulatory use. I also have 4 ordinary bottles as a back up. I have tried conservers but find liquid oxygen suits me best. I can now go out in the car all day long without worry. I have severe emphysema.
