Hi everyone, :)

Have further news of Wendells for you. She has been in touch a couple of times, but I haven't had time until now to update you, so apologies for the delay.

Wen had a very good day yesterday ( I think---- different time zone), and said she is managing a lot better now and sounds on fine form. She is due for complex lung tests tomorrow, to see how they have been doing. She has her own room, and is watching a lot of British programmes, including, " I'm a Celebrity", Downton Abbey and a few more.

The best news is that they are now setting things in motion for getting her home, but she doesn't know when yet. So that is good to hear, but only hope she gets plenty of help and support when she does go home, as she will definitely need it.

Wen is still getting a lot of physio, so that will be helping her along as well. So that's the latest, and will let you know when there is something to tell you. Again, she has asked me to thank everyone so much, but will be in touch herself when able. It is bound to have taken a lot out of her, and going home is a good sign, but it will be so different, and much harder for her I think. Depends on the level of care she gets at home, so we will have to wait and see.

Take care everyone,

hugs from Huggs xxxxx :) :)

Hi Huggs, sounds like Wendells is on the up now lucky girl having a room to herself can get a bit lonely but at least she can watch what she wants.

It seems the physio is very good hope it will continue when she gets home and they have lots of support for her.

I am sending her my love and lots of good wishes, well done Wendells and hope the lung tests go well tomorrow.

Thanks again Huggs,

Take care.

Hi polly,

You are welcome, and I am sure Wen will be in touch when she can. The room she is in has two beds in it, but the other one has never been occupied.

There are two physios attending to her, but she is not impressed with one of them as he/she is too rough, and she is on the verge of saying something.

I think she will have gone walkabout when able and maybe seen other patients for a natter at some points.

Take care, :) :)

Thanks Huggs. Well done Wendells. Keep up the physio. Beat you brain into making new connections. The more you try the more it will attempt to reroute around the damage. Actually seen that in time lapse MRI of a a brain forming pathways. Magic.

Regards to both. Rib

Hi Rib,

You are welcome Rib, and I am sure Wen will be in touch with you for tips and advice, and maybe a website where they show what you have described above about the rerouting of the brain. That must have been very interesting to see. I must have a look and see if there is something online to watch. It would be really fascinating. I think you will be a source of great encouragement to her Rib, and thank you for that.

Still haven't convinced my brain to see out of my Left eye though lol

Do you have any vision in your left eye Rib, or is it partial.? I am just wondering, because if you have partial vision then that would cause you to feel disorientated and unbalanced I would think. I have had eye injuries in the past which resulted in one eye being swollen shut, and gradually a little at a time, I would see a little out of it, but it was more problematic seeing partially out of one eye, and normally out of the other.

I don't know how it is with strokes. Keep trying, lol
