feeling rubbish today
you can clean with just water but it is a matter of whether you can afford one of these new fangled steam mops most come in pieces so you can use them round the sink or bath I think they are the best thing since sliced bread came out.
if this carrys on i might need to look into that
well we never use any form of chemicals now and I think the home is healthier for the steam mops
Lots of ways to clean without chemical odours. As Ant said the Steam Cleaners are great. Cause 100 deg C kills them germs.
Lots of other tips here.
same as me,yvette, up one day down the next you got some good answers the steam cleaners look good,,,,,,,,but you need someone to use them my steam cleaner comes tomorrow [earlier i thought it was today ,, jane, my hooverrrerrrr
yes the chemicals are out, i cant even put bleach down the toilet, or rather i do, but run,[slowly ] then stick my hand in and flush it
never mind evette, we live and learn, hope your much better now best regards jimmy xxx
Try Amway LOC - or get a cleaning lady!
Cleaning lady sounds good to me lol oh wait I am the cleaning lady. X Sonia x
as fab as that sounds i've spent so long sitting on my butt feeling sorry for myself i don't need another excuse to sit down ..... as long as i'm able i'm gonna get up and get on with it ... just without cillit bang
LOC excellent product, no fumes. But...the power of steam I think is best. I have a Little Yello and like a cylinder hoover it has attachments for just about everything and follows you around with no effort. Steam by nature is very, very hot so handle with care and it bounces back at you if you clean out the plug holes!! With two indoor cats I even give the bowls and trays a good blast. hope this helps.

I use those fancy 'e-cloths' sometimes too. No chemicals at all.
Don't forget that bicarbonate of soda and vinegar can be really useful too.
Yvette, this is a great question indeed. I'm too disable (lazy?) to do the cleaning myself, so I have a cleaner. She swears by bleach, I hate it! But I did buy an e-mop which is made of microfibre. This enables you to mop the kitchen floor with hot water and without any detergent. If I have to use a cleaning agent, i shall use Soda crystals and vinegar. These two products are safe on the floor or on clothes. Vinegar is a splendid cleaner for tough stainson undergarments. For wool, I use soap nuts which does not really smell and is not offensive but smooth on wool and delicates, worth a try (I found first a firm, but I soon discovered that Amazon sells them cheaper.) Have a go. Cheers, Mic
