Different flu vaccine each year but always leaves me with a painful arm for a month - well nobody said this was going to be easy I suppose all we can do is make the most of the better times
Sympathies to you.......last year the flu jab made me quite poorly , but this year thank goodness there's been no I'll effects except for a sore and red arm for three days.
They say that the worse the effects from the flu jab the worse if you got the full blown flu without it... People are die from the flu but not from the jab.... So keep going.... It's worth it.... Get strong soon.

I know what you mean I had mine last month, knock me off my feet and was in bed 3 whole days terrible. My breathing been worse since, but I'm at docs this morning to see about my inhalers. So we'll see, hope your feeling better from the affects, and can get out and about love. Angie. Xxx
I had mine in Sept, it does not contain anything live, so was told no ill effects & only problem I had was injection site was red , hot & painful to touch for 3 days same as last year. I do sympathise with you people that felt ill though & it is supposed to make flu less severe if you catch it?
You are not alone Bill. I had the jab last week felt like i had done 12 rounds with Mike Tyson the following day, every year the same thing. I think its just coincidence that the flu jab is at the time of year that Tree that pollen is rife. Some good info on-line about tree pollen and its effects (or affects not sure which is right). There is nothing in the flu jab that can cause illness, it has no egg or flu virus in the jab, like it used to have. Maybe we were made to hibernate for the winter, i have one of those "SAD" Lights that seem to work i have it on for a 30 to 45 mins in the morning and it works wonders for me. Maybe worth asking the GP or Consultant or Practice Nurse about them. As you can see from my profile picture its worked wonders for my complexion.
I had my first flu jab on Saturday . I had refused it last year as many people had said it made them really ill.
I asked the nurse about this and she informed me that as it isn't a live vaccine it is unlikely to have any effect other than very mild reaction to jab maybe sore arm .
Only If you have already caught the flu will it progress.
Am terrified of having any kind of injection - it's not the jab, it's what it may do to me in the long term. My consultant and other health care practitioners have suggested I have the Hib vaccine as well. Also, the Pain Service in Dorset is suggesting hydrocortisone injections into the facet joints of my spine as I have excrutiating back pain. I am really scared of the long term effect of all these chemicals on a body that has already been heavily suppressed by over medicating.....
