Well in the past 4 years I have been fine, no colds no flu no ups or downs.
Last week I got the flu jag, Friday I felt a bit unwell, like I was coming down with something. Saturday and Sunday I had terrible aches and pains in my legs and arms, neck very sore as well.
Monday I called in sick and also today. All achy and sore, a bit sneeeezy and hot. No chest complain though. Feel a bit and generally horrible. Taking the rest of the week off.
Soluble Paracetamol for me.

Hi, the good thing is im not on any medication for my Bullous Emphysema. Been really really lucky to have been diagnosed so early. Just need to keep the wee bugs away.
I had something similar last week David - I was ill so you must feel really bad as you are a man!!! Lets hope it stays clear of you chest, wishing you a speedy recovery TAD xx
Might just be a wee reaction to the flu vaccination -a couple of my friends felt the same symptoms as you, but were OK after about 3 days. Hope you are better now
Hi David1968 - hope you get better very soon and good for you that you are managing without meds. Just a thought, I noticed last week that our doctors' surgery has a big poster up stating that the flu jab does not make people experience the effects of flu , or words to that effect. So, why are some people getting unwell after a flu jab? I have had my jab recently and was fine, despite COPD, Bronchietasis and all the rest, yet I know someone else who gets a bad flu-like experience for a few days after they have the flu jab. Why is this? I suppose we all have unique and individual bodies and reactions to everything. That's the only answer I can find in my head to this. Take care xx
I was diagnosed in 2010, I started getting the flu jag/jab in 2011. After I get it I am usually bit groggy for a day or two, I think this time is just bad luck. I could have been ready to get a wee cold and the flu jag/jab might just be working it's wonders. Hope it passes soon, feel horrid.
