We moan a lot, it’s too hot, it’s too cold, it’s dry it’s wet . . . . . . So today me is going to take a tongue in cheek moan just for the hell of it!
Nine years ago I started treatment for lung cancer. (Soon shot that baby down though didn’t I?)
Burned some healthy lung tissue due to radiotherapy and ended up with pretty bad emphysema and having to take oxygen 24/7.
Can’t walk anywhere or even stand up for more than I minute or two.
Forever getting trouble with my hearing and my eyes are getting worse every day in spite of having new glasses. Even too hard to see my 17inch lappie screen.
The last of my teeth are set fast in a long forgotten steak in the twentieth century while my hair looks like snow white clouds encircling an ever extending ice rink.
Now my appetite is dwindling but at the same time I’m finding myself craving a little extra salt when I do eat.
Actually most meals have become tasteless except perhaps the curries or similarly spiced dishes which at the end of the day only create other problems, then to top it all
I’ve tried all means of seating imaginable but the end of my spine is still getting a little sore from sitting down too much.
Can’t sit! . . . . Can’t stand! . . . . Can’t eat! . . . Sheesh what’s the world coming to?
Nine years ago, just nine years and I‘m moaning? Not really my friends. Those years have been an unexpected gift to me. Diagnosed with a terminal illness only meant that I had to fight that little harder, you see my youngest daughter was pregnant, then out of the blue I made the decision to go from smoker to non smoker so that I would see my new grand daughter grow into a teenager.
In those days I needed targets to help me get along with my life and she would be one of the many ones that I needed to live my remaining days.
Next week she will be fifteen years old and I am witness to her teenage beauty, who knows . . . . . . . I may even see her as a bride.
Sleep well lovely people and if exercise is a problem for you keep fit the easy way:
Take one weetabix and one aero chocolate bar crumble chocolate bar over weetabix and voila aerobix.
