The Tennis wasn't as hot as the temperature's but it made the pint at the pub afterwards taste even better. :)

Hi all, We lasted an hour on court just hitting balls everywhere and anywhere with the occasional proper tennis shot thrown in. Back in the day we were all pretty good club and league tennis players, well that's before various health problems put a stop to it but were now determined to make a steady comeback and plan a weekly session followed by a pint at the local.

Ok, yes I got out of breath, but no more than doing an hour at fit to breath, I had my liquid oxygen delivering 8 liters and I placed it in a back pack strapped tightly to my back and hey presto I was playing tennis again. :)

That's me in the middle of the two big guys trying to look cool Ha!. Well the future's so bright I gotta wear shades now eh' ain't I. youtu.be/8NZKLZmz4kA

The most important thing is not winning but taking part although a cold pint is quite important :D

That cold pint was the best medicine I've had in a long time. As you say today's tennis wasn't about win or lose, we were all winners today having achieved something we all thought was beyond our capabilities. :)

Tony

You definitely are all winners!!! Well done xxx

Thanks TADAW, a pretty successful day me thinks! and one were going to do again soon at our own steady pace. :)

It would probably have been easier if the temps weren't so high but an hour was pretty impressive anyway.

Wimbledon next :)

Well done my hero. Just wearing the Oxy on your back deserves a medal. Did it keep you cool? After all that running and jumping for the ball you deserved a beer, or was it 2? Bet you didn't see the little mouse scampering around trying to retrieve your balls! Don't say Dozy doesn't try to help. D :) x x
