I had my pip through today, got both catagories,, but i didn,t have interview, been awarded from the decision-maker,,but what you do need is to tell them your bad days not good, days, if you cannot walk far be honest,,i,m a twenty steps person then stop to breathe, if your like that tell them,,i had letters from my consultants and doctors with all results, and have been sending them regular to make sure my pip forms where up to date, you need to score 15 points for each catagorie, and it is quite hard,,tell them if you need help with anything,,,and don,t fall for the dropped pen routine,,my friend failed because she bent down to pick it up,,i kid you not,,,no appointment is the same for everyone,,so i wish you luck and don,t let them rush you, good luck and hope you are awarded it,,,,breathe easy,,chrissie
thanks Chrissie, very informative, I,ll certainly look out for the .dropped pen. So take care.xx
Take someone with you if you can, as that will go in your favour, and take all your medications as well for them to see. Also, be careful when you've finished the assessment as they carry on assessing you - my assessor watched me out the window of his room as I left the building. He wanted to see how far I could walk before needing to stop and rest.
Glad you got your blue badge just because you don't claim pip it doesn't mean you should not get a blue badge
