So relieved! If it gets too painful he can give me an injection but he thought my back was in good shape on the whole. I have to continue being active. Walking, swimming-pool, house bike.
Presently I have neuralgia that’s why it hurts. He gave me a muscle relaxer to take at night for a month. And I must have a bone density scan every year. If I feel the pain in the front, I must come in straight away. I didn’t ask why, silly me.
Anyway Bea got the sunbeds out and guess who is enjoying it??
We are still watching the Chelsea Flower Show.
I like the life stories behind the design. Lovely cat in that clematis garden centre
Good news happy Fran, you are not destined for the knackers yard yet then and the diagnosis of carry on regardless must be heartening for you.your new deck chairs/sun beds look rather posh and would look well out of place on Brighton beach and heaven forbid don't let aria know you have been admiring other cats at the flower show or your new chair will be trashed in an instant by feline claws...............Ski's and scruffs without posh chairs/beds xx
Hello Fran what wonderful news! That must be such a relief 😊. Aria looks ever so relaxed there lounging in the sun...Our loungers collapsed unexpectedly this year from rust...with my eldest on them😂! Now you've inspired me to buy more 😉. Have a lovely relaxing evening..you deserve one after all these appointments. xxx
Good luck for today then dear Fran...sofas and sunloungers tomorrow then, and a tall glass of something you like 😉💞. Last day of half term today so I'll be relaxing a little tomorrow too, with no early mornings for a little while!😊. Lots of love xxx
I’m going to the city. I don’t like it when I don’t know where I’m going anymore. I put it down to being in a foreign country and age 😂 Hottest day of the week of course..🌞🌞
I hope it is not going to be a regular thing and that they don’t want to see me again. I did the sleep test, I know I have apnea but it’s not that bad and no way am I having that cumbersome machine blowing air in my face. So I suppose as I am naughty 😉they want to know why and what to do about it.
Yes I think so too 😃 Aria is looking worried because Bea left for work and she can see I’m getting ready. She hides under this tree 🌳 and comes out resinous 😃 I will have to shake the croquettes bag to get her in!
Oh half-term again those kids always seem to be on holiday 😂 I didn’t say that when I was teaching!!
Oh that's not age Fran..I hate going to new places too! Gives me nerves like stage fright 😂. Then again I'm skilled at getting lost you see... I hope you dont get too hot and bothered 😉
I don't blame you with the apnea machine...no point having it if it stops you sleeping a wink! You have to find a balance don't you.
Bless Aria...our Ned is the same...you'd think he hadn't eaten for weeks when I return! And those chicks are permanently hungry 😂. They peck at my hands when I'm feeding them and make me jump!
I have a meeting with Macmillan this morning then I'm planning a rest, before the girls come home and half term officially begins. I will make a little time for me...
Have a good day Fran xxx
Hello Fran such gr8 news I'm so pleased you don't need an op ... Seems like Aria has the right idea in just curling up for a good old sleep xxx Hope you enjoyed Chelsea flower show and hope you have the rest of the week to enjoy your sun loungers with Bea. Mind you Aria may beat you to 1 so best get your towel down to reserve it for tomorrow xxxxx Have a good night love Mel 😊😉

Hello Mel my LAM sis 💕
Did you spend a lot of money shopping on summer goodies yesterday?
Yes nothing but the best for Aria!! 💖
I love the flower show, I dream of pretty colours and flowers. I said to Bea we have to go to the garden centre this morning. She said Mum we are having work done on the flat we have to think of packing not planting! Sniffff
Of course she is right! When your kids know better well you know you have put on a few years!!
Wow Happylondon that is fantastic news, always nice to hear some good news. Love the pic of your kitty, lucky him/her lounging in the sun, we are going into winter and its freezing!
What good news, Fran 🌈💥💫 I’m so pleased for you. That sounds very encouraging. I have osteopenia too and was very concerned by the very sudden, out of nowhere, damage to your vertebrae. Made me wonder whether we’d better wrap ourselves in cotton wool ⛄️☃️ !!
I do hope your eye is resolved soon, too. Sounds a pretty regular occurrence though, unfortunately, so the treatment well established.
I was prescribed muscle relaxants for my back problem...worked well eventually, and helped me sleep too!
I’ve been following the Chelsea Show too....excellent. As you say, the back stories are fascinating. And of course I can enjoy Monty Don’s company...and expertise!! He’s lovely 🌷💞🌺🦋 I voted for the people’s choice garden, then started agonising over my choice 😱 🙀🙈 🤣 Ha!
Take care, my friend, speak soon. We could be cyber dancing again soon 💃🕺🏼💃🕺🏼 Just a few more boxes to unpack, lamps and flooring to sort. I’m hoping I’m now living in an asmatics dream house....wood floors everywhere, no carpets! A bit clanky but otherwise perfect!! Night night 🌙🌟💫 xx
Well he didn’t seem too worried about osteopenia as long as I keep up with those six monthly Denozumab injections to prevent osteoporosis. So make sure you see about that. Calcium and vit D is not enough it seems.
The Denozumab injection wasn’t bad. I was just very tired on the night and a little tummy ache but nothing more than the flu jab.
I haven’t tried the muscle relaxant yet, I must go to the chemist’s.
So I will see. The eyes it’s more difficult, irritated easily, putting drops in, keeping sun glasses on etc..
Today back to Lausanne respiratory to the sleeping centre..then hopefully over for a while.
I love that show too, good for the soul!!
So pleased you finally have the house of your dreams 😉🌸 no carpets makes a big difference. Dad had stone floors in the flat, it’s ok, cold but easily washed.
Well have a good end to the week. Nice talking to you Happy Penny 🌻😘
YES, I did, so natural, interesting and relaxing. But after voting, began to toy with the idea of becoming more adventurous and voting for the South African one, with the dramatic contrasts and exotic flowers! I was back to the Yorkshire version today.....works in both rain and sun 🌨🌦☀️ And we’ve had plenty of rain here today....was going to say in Wales but I should say in Cheshire now. Really beginning to enjoy the change now.....have cracked our first bottle of bubbly, in fact. Cheers 🥂 🍾 xx
My eyes are hurting and a blood vessel has popped in my good eye today but I phoned and they said it was normal. I keep my special sunglasses over my glasses in and out even though my glasses darken..anyway next laser treatment August 22nd. I hope this is it for a while! 🍀
That's great news Fran. I have been recalled to the Dr's this morning as my bone scan was borderline. Presume I will need medication. I can't swim but should take lessons! Xx
Thank you Jackie 😊 Take the preventative treatment they give you. Wish I had been given something before.
You don’t have to swim. You can walk in water, exercise. The pool is 1.30 m high at one end so after the eye ops I didn’t want any splashing I stayed at the lower end.
There are good exercises on the BLF website as well
That's wonderful news Fran. Back operations are some of the most tricky. What a relief. Enjoy your time in the sun. Aria looks as if she's loving those sunbeds xx
I had a vertebra compression and pain was awful. I saw a surgeon from spinal unit and was given 2 choses. I could live on pain killer or have an op. I decided to have the op. It was keyhole surgery and was discharged the .next day. I cannot believe the difference. No pain.
Thank you for the info. Well the surgeon said they consider keyhole surgery when the compression is up to 50% so I have to wait, hoping it doesn’t evolve..
I am glad you are painless now 😊it is good to know there are solutions.
I’m glad you don’t have to have an op on your back. I’ve had two injections in my back - they worked for quite a long time.. no sun beds here - it’s been pouring with rain all day!
If it hurts badly I won’t hesitate having the injection.
It was so hot today it is looking stormy now. I took a taxi back from the village couldn’t face walking with my shopping in that heat! Sending you some sunshine! ☀️
Just had a nice cup of tea, ready to put the tv on. Can’t do any close work with my eyes yet.
Muy Buenas Tardes Fran, Just Catching up. Good News for you Fran, what a relief for you. Good Girl Bea, making a lovely relaxed Space for your Mum. Looks so Lovely. I have been watching CFS, I must say not as good as previous Years. Too many "Walls", I did like the natural gardens though. Aria knows the Best Place to be, so long as she has her Lingering scents of you both, she will ponder in the Garden to bring you a Gift. I had a good half day at The transplant Hospital, all good, and my Rehab sessions certainly paid off, My 6 minute walk was faster than the last one, in all I am a lot Stronger and Dr. Vicky said , just need those Lungs to come along now because your Body is Ready for them. We talked about the valve Procedure also. Will post when I have it. Take Care Fran. Hasta Luego Carinos, Abrazo y Besos . XXXXX
Thats such good news! bet its a weight of your mind. ooh yes! i love Chelsea, Love seeing what "Isshi" the Japanese designer is doing. Fabulous garden as usual. n the Yorkshire garden was lovely n Cottage like. looks like Pussy found the hot-spot!
