Hi there, Twicweshy is right, you need specialist advice, please ring the helpline on Monday.

You're very young to have been hospitalised with this, poor you. Be aware that getting over pneumonia can be a lengthy process, really take it easy, don't overdo it, eat very healthily, drink plenty of fluids (not the sweet fizzy kind), take extra Vit C to top up your immune system and get some acidophilus to take to rebalance the bacteria in your gut.

Wishing you a good recovery. You may not be up to full power for a couple of months and in that time you'll be vulnerable to other infections so tell people with coughs n colds to bog off.

All the best Peeg

Hi db1394. Please be very careful about going back to work. I was in hospital for z7 days last year. You wouldn't be admitted to hospital if it wasn't serious. I went back to work 2,weeks later and it was the worst thing I could've done, I picked up one infection after another because my immune system was so low.nthe pneumonia had wiped it completely. I had 7 chest infections in the space of 9 months the last one ended up in intensive care with respiratory failure both lungs. Now if I'd listened to the people who we're telling me to get properly better that wouldn't have happened. Pneumonia is a serious illness and although you're young, your body needs plenty of time to recover.
