Hi Everyone, I am finally here.............

After days of having a flashing blue bar, which for a split second advised me to click on here, which was impossible, as I couldn't be in two places at once. Today, well about 1 minute ago the bar stopped flashing and I could finally click on and get upgraded. So I am on the new layout now. It all seems a bit strange and unfamiliar at the moment, but no doubt will get use to it in no time. For the minute, it has lost that homely, comfortable feeling. Do you know what I mean, or does that sound daft? OK. don't answer that LOL. I will need to look for the new added features which were promised. So far they are conspicuous by their absence! Its probably me though!

Hope you are all ok. I have been supposed to be watching the tennis, but unfortunately have missed it all but 30 - 45 minutes, because I can't stay awake.

Hi huggs I've just arrived as well, it's a bit strange at the moment, not sure I like it yet. I know what you mean about that warm homely feel seems to have gone missing, also haven't found questions section yet.

Hi Ann,

I'm not sure yet either, whether I like it or not. I daresay, in time it will just become second nature. From what I understand the questions and posts are all together, there are no different sections for them now. I had a job finding my activity, but I did in the end. Cannot remember how, now! I have not had a chance to have a good gander around because I am too sleepy, and my door bell keeps going. I think though, that there are little boxes or lines of words that we have to click onto. It cannot be that hard. The home page of the old layout was far more straightforward I think, especially for newcomers. Good luck. lots of hugs from huggs xxx

Hi again Ann, I thought you might want to know that I went off the site, then returned 5 minutes later. At first I thought that I was still on the new site, but when I went back up to the very top of the page, there was the old site lay out again!! Very strange.!! hugs from Huggs xx

Hi Jenns,

At the moment, I want to go back to the old way!! After spending weeks thinking I was missing out on something, I realise I wasn't!! Is that not typical! I'll try and remember to let you know in a few days, but my memory is very poor at times, so it might be better for you to get in touch with me. You might find, that if you do not click to be upgraded they will do it for you. Its just getting use to something new. The writing is bigger and somehow clearer, and the posts and questions are all together now. I think the main feature of the new layout is that for those with smart phones or tablets can access the site on the move. Maybe I am wrong on that, but I seem to remember reading it. I am going to try going off site now, and then come back and I might get back to old one!! ha ha ha hugs from huggs xx

Yes Huggs, it is likely that they will transfer everyone to new version in a little while. I will not log on on the run, so may just wait for a little while. I will be in touch with you re versions in a couple of days. All the best huggs and thanks for hugsxx

It's my experience from other websites that nobody ever likes the upgrades. I never like them either for about three days, then suddenly, I can hardly remember the older version.

Yes, I have finally made it, and as you say in a few days it will not feel so strange. Once I am familiar with it, then I won't hanker after the old one. Its just that the old layout seems homely and comfortable and this one doesn't so far. Hopefully, it will after getting use to it. As I have just said to jenns, I spent weeks thinking I was missing out on something great, and now it just feels like a let down! Typical isn't it ?

Hi huggs, I was on the old site here at work now on new. Have signed out and in again, still on new. You will get used to it. Shame about missing tennis. I have to wait till I get home during the week to watch. Sometimes I get a chance to listen on the radio. Not today boo hoo. xx

Hi Suzy, Yes, I can be on both! Don't know how long that will last though. We will get use to it, but the new one hasn't got that homely, comfortable sort of a feeling yet. I can't understand why I am so sleepy all the time. I probably still have a bit of an infection lingering about, and am so weak. This is the first Wimbledon in 38 years that I haven't seen every single match possible. grrr grrrrr Not a happy bunny! Hope you are well, and enjoying the tennis. lots of hugs from Huggs xxxx

Not to sure myself, but hopefully it will grow on us. If you go off site and then back on, at first you think you are still on new one, but if you go to top of the page then you are back on the old one. Just a little tip if you want to remain on the old one a few days longer, when I expect they will take the old site away completely.

I can still go on to both sites. If I am on new site, then go off new site, and back on, I find that I am on both. It doesn't sound as if it makes sense, but its true. Still, haven't found any advantages to new site. You'll probably find that in a few days anyway, that the old site will go completely. I know how you feel, that you are use to something that is just second nature and automatic, and then you have to think about and learn something new. huggs. xx
