After putting her children to bed, a mother changed into old slacks and an old droopy blouse and went to wash her hair. As she heard the children getting more and more rambunctious, her patience grew thin. At last she threw a towel around her head and stormed into their room, putting them back to bed with stern warnings. As she left the room, she heard her 3 year old say with a trembling voice, "Who was that?"

You are very talkative tonight Puff! hee hee hee. Hope you are well. hugs xx
I like a good waffle now and again !
I'm as I have been for the past 3 years, which to me is a good thing after my recent encounter with the dark side !
hi Puff, Have you not been well, or should I say worse than usual? I am sorry about that if you have. I didn't mean to be cheeky, its just that I have come through a bad spell and have been off site for a few days. Not long as I managed to keep going but then had to re-gather myself. At least you are putting on smiley faces. Take care and I hope you are ok. hugs xx
I left hospital about 8 weeks ago. My first " proper " illness since being diagnosed 3 years ago. Four times I went to hospital within as many weeks. They kept putting me in the short stay ward, 3 times. Each time I got worse. They would stop the symptoms but not the cause. The 4th time my missus called the paramedics who convinced me to go back as I was not in the mood after 3 times of failure and my mind was wandering. She told me after I came out that I would have probably died within a few days. I didn't realise how bad I was. My " kids " even drove 200 miles to see me and I still didn't realise how bad I was. This time the A&E chap was very good and gave me AB's, steroids and saline by IV. I then got sent to the respiratory ward. I moaned at the doctor about it all. After not improving for about 4 days I really thought I'd spend most of the rest of my life hardly being able to move. Luck enough I pulled through and even ended up being the same before the damn infection. I reckon it would have even put a normal person in bed for a few days.
There's a couple of nice threads on here about it from the lovely members.
you are an inspiration puff of how to keep pushing even when it seems like, its never ending this vicious circle ,keep going puff, xxx
Thanks TS. Thank goodness I'm a positive person and just get on with it. I think a good frame of mind can help you do more things than you normally would.
Hi Puff,
I am so sorry that you have been through all that, and am so pleased that you pulled through. Its good that you are in no worse condition than before the infection, but it was obviously severe and that takes time to fully recover from. It must have been very scary as well, but you have a loving family to support you, as well as loads of friends on this site. That must have given you a huge boost and helped in your recovery. If you feel low then you can always go back and look at all the caring and loving you received from the members. You mentioned a couple of nice threads. I am not computer savvy and I am assuming that threads are the details relating to this period in your life. That is a guess. How do I find threads? Sorry for my ignorance in computer jargon. Keep well and take care. hugs xxx Glad you enjoy a good waffle from time to time!
