where can I find information on recommended exercises for COPD patients?

Someone on here will give you the link to exercise sorry I don't have it, I go to the gym twice a week treadmill, rowing machine, also I've done the pulmonary rehab and they show you how to exercise at home very good if you get the chance to go you should hope this helps you Bliss xx

Thank you, I do appreciate your reply to my question. I am unable to use the machines that you use. I do have some exercises approved by my consultant but was curious about what others were doing, and wondered if there was a tag on this site that I don't know about.

There are lots of them on You Tube - or try Google - just put in COPD exercises.

Hi I have had IPF for at least 6 years, my specialist consultant told me to stop walking up and down the steep hill at our house, she said that I had to avoid stress and not to stretch my lungs as this will make my condition worse so check with your nurse. but do not despair they do get it wrong.

Hi Telford Breathe Easy raised £3..500 and set up our own excercise class people are recommended after their pulmonary rehabilitation classes and then we have a trained trainer to follow on, We have mangement plans which have to be filled in our NHS are observing this. It has been so successful we have just opened another class.

The Chinese have developed something they call Qi gong, wirth exploring this on YouTube too.
