I have the shakes is this down to ventolin
Hi bianac I think it often depends how much Ventolin you have taken....have you had to use the inhaler more than usual? Have you any other symptoms? If you are at all worried I would ask your gp or respiratory nurse if they are available this morning or ring the out of hours number, just to check.
Hi Bianac. I am sorry I have no idea why you may have the shakes, but I agree with Knitter, phone your doctors or 111 and ask them
I hope you feel better soon
Hi Bianac, some inhalers can cause shakes but don't recall many people saying that happens when on ventolin only, so I would follow the advice of other members above. Good luck hope it is only the inhaler dose.
Hi Bianac. I have been using my Ventolin the last couple of days and "Yes" it can cause the shakes. It does it to me every time I use it. It does go off after a while. It also makes my heart faster.
yes it can I use a nebuliser went for rehab and was told to reduce the caps from 5mgs to 2.5 mgs to stop the shakes
Ventolin is notorious for shakes especially if you are using a lot of it. When in the RAF, I was cured of the shakes by one simple thing....a teaspoon of sugar. Sorted it straight away. Unfortunately, every one in sick quarters was one diet and sugar had been banished, so they gave me the only thing they had...a sugar lump polio vaccine.
are you on steroids also there is a side effects of the shakes with steroids
I started getting the shakes when I went onto seratide for my asthma which I have as well as the bronchiectasis. So flipping embarrassing tho.
If I took Ventolin to much I used to get uncontrollable twitches in my legs and arms, more so in bed which the wife was not best pleased getting the occasional kick in the middle of the night.
It can make the heart beat faster too.
