And just wanted to thank all who helped lift me out of the depression I was falling into.
I will phone my consultants secretary and ask for an early appointment, I am in a lot of chest and back pain and the ABs are doing nothing and this is going into the fifth week. So I will have it out with him, guns blazing, into the sunset, and hope that this time they will do more than just say it will pass.

Tell it like it is, get sputum test done, referral to consultant, ask doc if a course of steroids may help (may have to wait for results of sputum sample though) I went 10 months once just on ABs nothing doing, a course of steroids fixed it for me. When a medicine is not working it makes sense that you need to try a different medicine. but..... psst I am not a medical professional just sorta think for myself regardless

ha, as usual no emergency appointment available, Consultant`s secretary cant give me an appointment "any time soon" so my rear end is out in the wind...
Not giving up, I will try NHS 24, They are pretty good at assessing the situation and get on the ball quite quick.
I had a really bad night last night shivers shakes coughing up ( goodness knows what) 0nly had a few hours sleep, if even that. so I am off to bed where it`s warm and try and catch up..no totty though just Cavonia expectorant, still it tastes not too bad.

Just an update. I have phoned NHS 24 told them the situation and they phoned the doctor at the clinic.
I have an emergency appointment at 4:15 and they said don't worry about a sputum sample just get to the doctor as quickly as possible.
I really hate kicking up a stink, it`s a shame we have to go to such lengths just to get something sorted.

Absolutely, don't take NO for an answer your not feeling well get it sorted, more ofter than not you may need a change of Meds so don't worry it will get better soon I am sure just get ahead of things now... Lads are worse they feel like they are bothering GP's your not they are there to help ..just push a little harder. keep us posted..
