I think this might be one of the oldest I have seen ... fallen branches and scars from previous storms and winds ... Twisted to gain the light and warmth of the sun new shoots appearing on varied places . The roots underfoot are gnarly and widespread but in all her glory I bet she could tell lots of stories ... and little birds will come back to nest in her just glorious ๐ค๐๐ค๐

Brilliant - it (she) wouldn't look out of place in a science fiction film! Thank you โค๏ธanother photo for my minds eye when it all gets tooo much ๐๐xxxx
๐Just wanted to give you an example of how your photography helps people. I was having a bad night last night, struggling with my breathing and the more I propped myself up the more it made my back hurt ๐๐. Feeling very lonely and sorry for myself, I then pictured your photo of the tree and wondered how something so unreal looking could be part of the natural world. It made me smile through it all and therefore able to deal with everything in a more positive way ๐๐. Thank yoooo xxx
Nula that's such a lovley thing to hear... I'm very humbled by your comment..If my pics can even bring somone a smile ... a giggle or some quiet relaxing time then for me that's the best ...
Thatโs beautiful BB. Until a couple of weeks ago I had a view of a massive tree that stood in a field about 100 mtrs from my house . Living in an old cottage my windows are quiet small and the branches filled the whole view which I loved especially in winter when it looked like lace . Sadly the tree was apparently diseased and potentially dangerous and had to be removed . When it came down I actually cried , it had stood there long before I arrived 25 years ago and it was so sad to see it go ๐ฅฒ
I think we must have the same windows every ones a frame to the outside ...I'm so sorry for your tree being cut down .. even though they are dying they still have that beauty in them...
I took this photo in 2021 , I only took it because I thought the fungus itself was beautiful ( the photo doesnโt do it justice) but Iโm guessing this had something to do with the trees demise ๐ค The tree itself looked strong and healthy but maybe the roots had been attacked ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
I love some fungi that I find on the forest due to it's beauty... but your very correct in saying they kill the trees from the inside out .... and it can cause falling branches or fallen trees for safety it's best to cut them down sadly ๐ฅ
I think it might be an oak looking at the bark but I wouldn't like to say for sure I'm not great on the subject ...Your very welcome and thanks for your lovley comment ๐๐
