Might not always agree with him but he always writes a well thought out, researched article.

Food for thought with Monbiot, lurcherman. I want to create a shortcut but not sure how with windows 8. I seem to be the only person that appreciates windows 8 but still need to learn.

Did you see on his website the option to subscribe to an email update??

Pergola, I have not had to buy Windows 8 yet. Hopefully, I won't for a long time. How about looking on the Microsoft site and put your question there.

He writes regularly in the guardian Bev :)

His article on the causes of the flooding was very good. The Guardian gave him twice as much space as normal for it.

Makes far too much sense for the Government to take any notice.

Sadly true :(

Which article Lucherman? I just get a list of titles, nothing is catching my eye at the moment, was there something in particular you found interesting?

Hi, the recent one on why we e getting all the flooding was an eye opener but you have to scroll though to find what suits you, good luck

in reply to Lurcherman

Didn't see that title, will have a look again sometime, I have my own theories as well as the scientists, but I am glad the EA is going to planting a lot more trees, especially if our climate now is becoming much wetter as the years pass.

I read today that our summers will be becoming dryer in future

What summers? We are going to revert to having summers?

I'd never really thought about it but we walk the dogs across a very muddy football field then through a reasonably dry wooded thicket area. Sort of thought that not so much rain was getting through but obviously it must get as much rain it's just soaked up by the trees doh!!

in reply to Lurcherman

Yep and trees and shrubs help purify our air, for some tho there is a pollen problem, but without trees we would all pop our cloggs very quickly and it would be the end of planet earth.
