That sounds brilliant news, you have stopped smoking in time but it is confusing. If you feel well than it must be good, good luck

That is good news for you Daza, but your Doctor really should have at least given you the test results.

It is not sufficient for them to simply say - "Yep, all ok, now toddle off.

You should have been told what your FEV1/FVC results were, and what your FEV1 result was. From that information you can come to your own understanding of where you are at. You are not a child and should not be treated as one.

If you haven't been given this information then [only if you want to know it of course] you should ask for it and insist on being given it.

Cheers

Hi there,

I've been diagnosed with Bronchiectasis, and had a Spirometry. I never had the results back from that, but noticed on the medical records of what my FEV is. Can you tell me what FEV means and what it should be please.

Many thanks

Kirsty

I certainly won't ever smoke again, although it's very hard to remain a non smoker after smoking for so many years, this has taught me a very valuable lesson on just how precious health is

Daza70 Good News . But get your test results. How long where you smoking? I live in South Africa and was diagnosed with COPD. I am battling with smoking. Can anyone help?
