Definitely, your friend needs professional help. He should visit his GP and explain his worries. It would be a good idea if someone went with him. He could try ringing the nurse at BLF who would probably say the same thing. I do hope that something can be sorted out for him.

Thanks for that :) his doctors say he can only have antibiotics. He's just desperate to talk to someone in the same boat x

I would get him to ring the Brithish Lung Foundation helpline on 03000 030 555, it's the cost of a local call.

They know so much and can advise on the next steps. The best of luck to him. P

Ah, perhaps Manuka Honey? I get Nelson's 15+ or 20+ via Amazon but have a look around! there may be others at better value, the prices fluctuate. It seems expensive but it is very good, a natural antibiotic and it lasts a long time. Be sure to get 500grm jars & free postage to keep cost down.

The reviews about it on Amazon are good info on it. P

Erm .. I would take Annie's advice and get back to the GP for a proper consultation.

Good luck

Thanks for the advice jambo. He has exhausted all medical avenues. They say all they can give him is antibiotics (this has been a couple of years now) he is wondering if anyonewith the same condition has been advised anything different in their area. X

Sorry Libby. I've not explained very well. He has tried lots of things but nothing works for him. Doctors say all he can have is antibiotics. He was wondering what other people's doctors have recommended for the same conditions. Honey was a great suggestion he's neer heard of it before. Fingers crossed it helps a bit x
