PIP: I applied for PIP in August 201... - Lung Conditions C...
PIP
I applied back in Ocober after coming out of hospital after 3 months in due to a lung collapse and Capita only last week (when I rang them) told me they would now start to look at me case and that they had a huge backlog of cases so it sounds like we are in the same boat jasmin1.
I was told by someone a few weeks ago another time when I phoned that they we're still dealing with cases from Sept.
No its not thay are taking mick hoping we drop dead ... Need to write to your MP as is not on
I have been waiting and its same BS thay give me
It does feel like they are sort of hoping we just die on them sometimes doesn't it
Hi I applied in June of 2013 and finally heard from them in December 2013, some people say you get a phone call if you havent got it and if you dont you will have got it, hope you hear something soon Julia x
I put in a claim for DLA March 2013 I was turned down it took me 5 weeks to get the reason why very poor they said they had written to my GP but could not produce any evidence I sent them my last breathing test which shows I'm level 4 and asked them to look at it again they said they would and it would take 11 weeks that time ran out on the 12th December 2013. I went to the job centre they rang and they were told they had not received the GP's report I phoned the GP to be told they sent it back on the 12th November 2013 so now I have to go back to the GP for another report take it to the job centre and they will fax it to them. Anyone with a ounce of sense could Google COPD look up level 4 I have written to my MP asking him for the rules to be changed and anyone with a lung condition to be fast tracked after all our COPD will never improve.
I applied in June and it was December before I heard. I did get my MP involved, who I have to say was brilliant. I found the whole thing very stressful. Good luck I hope you hear soonx

I've had DLA for 3 years due to my epilepsy and when it as due for renewal I submitted a DLA form in June. A month later they sent it back and said I had to apply for PIP. My PIP claim went in in august and I am still waiting. I phone ATOS who say it's with the assessor ( has been for 3 months now). I'm still waiting. I hope I get my back payment x
I am sure I read somewhere that PIP/DLA are a minimum 6 months backlog. This is it seems a cunning plan to keep the figures low and give us all the impression that savings are working!
I been refused pip after waiting 11 months, I put in a claim last july with having mild asthma and moderate copd, plus sciatica and mild scoliosis I'm just thinking now if I should appeal or just leave it!
