I am tidying home ready for an asbestos survey on Monday (also in readiness for the no tidy period through the festivities How about you?
Asbestos survey - they have u in a house containing asbestos - the mind boggles. At present i am at my dads as me and my sister take turns at the weekend to look after him (dementia) so i like you are in the process of tidying up lol then make his dinner - if you were closer i would come round and do it for you im getting to be a dab hand at it lol

Apparently any renovations should not be carried out without an asbestos survey (relating to work being done on property built prior to the ban in 1999) That doesn't mean there is asbestos, just to ensure there is none that poses a threat or would do if disturbed and became airborn. Just keeping fingers crossed non is found. Only having a new door fitted, but it involves removing the door frame.
In a way glad for the reassurance of safety.
Let me did out my marigolds lol yes better to b safe then sorry with asbestos nasty stuff

Well im at dads again today hes in a real foul temper kitchen is in a right mess - so im gloved up and in cleaning mode.

Hope you are making one sparkling Kitchen to help put a smile back on your Dad's face, especially if you made him a cuppa just how he likes it with biscuits he likes best
I have stopped for a tea break and just realised short of milk so will take a walk out to get some more shortly. Making big moves in the clean up process and now have wider spaces to do my press ups - having more spinach for dinner
Hope you have a nice meal to tuck into this evening.

Hi Blakey,
Sorry for not replying straight away, but a fortnight ago dad went into hospital, and went down hill very rapidly, passing away last Sunday. So the past week has been spent getting his affairs in order.
Just nipped into to wish you a very very happy Christmas, and hope your dreams and wishes come true

DEar Mucks I am sorry to hear your dad has died. I lost my mum to copd infection and eventual heat failure a few years ago mind but always makes you think at this time of year. I am sure you have mixed feelings both sad that he has gone and relief in another sense Dementia is a demoralizing disease for those having to deal with it.
Do try and relax over Christmas and enjoy the family and friends that are with you. do take care best wishes Irene
