Auto corrector

Does anyone else get fed up with the auto corrector putting in the wrong words. I put my writing in and find when I have posted it the words are changed.

Yep, that is so annoying. It corrects names a lot. My Martyn always comes out Marty for instance. Also, quite obvious typos do not become corrected - strange. But then I have a tablet; maybe that makes a difference. :-) :-) Alison

I typed in a name and didn't check as I knew it was right. When I went into my messages I found it was changed. A bit embarrassing!

Hi

You should be able to turn auto correction off.

Check in settings, for your program,,,,,browser.......tablet.

Hi Stone. I'm a bit nervous about doing that. I am pretty good at spelling but there are the odd few words that get me. I've just got to be more observant.

Yes, its irritating - I think that may be why many people edit their posts. Didn't know you can turn it off, so thank stone for heads up on that, i'll investigate.

Yep me to its very frustrating sometimes though I find it helpful when im not to sure on the spelling of a word and it suggests one that is right :) Sometimes its very funny even. :) Janexx

Hi Jane yes it can be funny sometimes but when it gets somebody's name wrong I think it is embarrassing.. Saying that I just remembered someone got mine wrong and it was funny. When I get it wrong I think it looks like I can't be bothered. I suppose I am too sensitive.
