Spent some lovely times at Dawlish watching the Black Swans

grandaughters telling me last night thet was hand feeding the swans, but were not allowed to feed the pidgeons, or gulls, who seem to have taken over the part where the black swans are, shame

Beautiful! I spent a lot of time in dawlish as a child on family holidays. Is Gays creamery still there? Clotted cream and their honemade cakes and pies!

Beautiful picture. It's Dawlish Warren a little way on from Dawlish we have been there many times. They have changed it a lot since we stayed there. We used to walk down towards the sea and there was little shed like gift shops all the way down. A few years ago they did some building on the sea front. A pub which is great, an amusement arcade, fine! Then they built a large building as a shop. That spoilt it. It used to be individual shops. Its not the same now,not as nice. I used to spend ages browsing looking for gifts to take home.
