After a very long but brave and dignified fight against COPD my beautiful mum sadly passed away last week. On many occasions I have sat at her hospital bed holding her hand whilst she has been sleeping and I have found this site to be very comforting and helpful. I just wanted to say thank you!

Losing my mother was painful, especially as I had been nursing her in the local Cottage hospital. All I can say, the pain will be replaced by happy memories. My best wishes from Annieseed x

I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. My mother died after a long illness in June this year and I am still grieving. Just remember to be kind to yourself. Let yourself grieve properly. When the sadness has let up a bit you are quite right you will remember the happy memories. All the best. Hugs

Oh God bless you your post took me back to February this year when I lost my Mom she had COPD smoked like a train and passed away at the age of 87. The next few months will be a blur you will do things that will make no sense until further down the line. I found it important that I got everything right when it came to Moms funeral I put her a packet of cigs a picture of her best pal and a apron my daughter made her and now when I feel I need to be close to her I go to the crematorium sit on the bench near where her ashes were scattered, we are all hear for you, you should never feel alone. x
