Thanks for all the kind comments regarding our new wee dog, we also have two rescued lurchers, long haired and the original short haired, they are about 8 years young now.
They are all getting on really well, the new one is still very scared and jumps at everything, poor soul, she will come round in her own time.
On the other hand after two weeks of pain i'm starting to get a bit better, no more ladders for me lol well not until Christmas when up I go again to put the outside lights and decorations up, don't worry though at least I will have the dogs to steady the ladders lol

Your dogs sound fabulous...and you are too for taking those hurt innocences in.☺ Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. Watch out for the Christmas ladder though, remember what happened in the Santa Clause movie. Xx
So glad you feel better.I think you better talk to someone else,to get those decorations up!!
Lets hope your new member of the family, learns to trust again soon, one hates seeing them so nervous,we have a Golden retriever now, that also is slowly getting more trustful.
They all sound delightful, 1968. My daughter in Australia has 3 rescue dogs and 1 daschund and I miss them terribly. You will have lots of fun and no doubt you know already that it's like living in a mad house! Best of luck all of you.
Hello David, I am so pleased you are on the road to recovery.
Your dogs are lovely and your new one will, I am sure, respond to all the love and kindness she is receiving. It just takes time and patience, don't you think?
My rescue dog was really nervous, when we adopted him at the age of 18 months. It took about two years before he completely relaxed, the Jack Russel we had then helped him a lot. They became devoted to each other,
Your dogs will gain comfort and confidence from each other. Please give them all a big hug and kisses from me and George. Be careful up the ladder please. How about getting an inflatable mattress down to catch your fall.
Lurchers, marvellous - they are our favourite "breed". Used to have one but now since he died we have a part share in a Spanish water dog and she is hypoallergenic and very beautiful (but can't swim and doesn't speak Spanish)
