I’ve worked in care for 25 years, and never felt as lost as I have done in recent years, as I know very little about respiratory conditions. Ask me how to wash and dress someone, provide good pressure care, deal with bodily fluids while maintaining dignity at all times, I can do that standing on my head. thank you all for your input to my posts about grumpy Grampy. I can honestly say without the advice you have given me I could so easily have lost him. Your experiences and advice have been enough for me to push him now and again, while trying not to nag him. I’m looking forward to having him home and hopefully a happier grumpy Grampy. So my sincere thanks to you all.

thank you
It’s not easy being a carer and I think you’re doing really well. I have to encourage (sometimes nag) Pete to drink more, take his meds, move more etc.and it’s sometimes exasperating but I’m pretty used to things now.
I hope GrumpyGrampy will soon be home with you and doing better.
Take care xxxx
This site is invaluable isn't it? And people actually care!
All the best, you're doing great! xx
Best wishes to you. Look after yourself too. Do you have any ‘carers support’ services or network in your local area? They can be very supportive x
I’m so happy to hear he may be coming home and hope and pray you have many more happy years together.
Hopefully he’ll be home soon Take care of yourself too. It is so easy to be all consumed by the person we’re looking after 🤗
That's such a lovely post, GG. I'm glad you've been helped by peoples' replies on here and I hope you soon have Grumpy Grampy back with you where he belongs. Best wishes, xx Moy
Ah I totally agree being a member of this forum has taught me so much and the support given is amazing. Take care and keep us posted.❤️😊xxxx
