Yes, to sum what everybody says, wonderful work. What cofdrop says is also very true, and , I feel, more difficult to find: emotional support.
But, at my place, (Whitstable and Tankerton Respiratory Team, 0300 123 1412 ) you can ask to be referred to a one to one psychologist. anyone can ask their Respiratory nurse to be referred specifically to a psychologist to deal with the worries of pulmonary disease. I got v. good advice, not only for my disease, but for myself coping with my ill wife in hospital> I was told that, initially, they book you for a six week period. If you feel you need more, you can (They don't shout "MORE???" at you! it's worth it
