Calling anyone with bronchiectasis, check out the website bronchiectasishelp.org.uk, a fantastic new site reported in the latest BLF Breathing Space magazine. It explains everything you need to know about the condition.

It will be even more comprehensive soon as Robert, has recently requested on Bronchiectas r Us info on recommended doctors, as he is trying to compile a list of centres of excellence for non cf bronchiectasis.

Yes, to sum what everybody says, wonderful work. What cofdrop says is also very true, and , I feel, more difficult to find: emotional support.

But, at my place, (Whitstable and Tankerton Respiratory Team, 0300 123 1412 ) you can ask to be referred to a one to one psychologist. anyone can ask their Respiratory nurse to be referred specifically to a psychologist to deal with the worries of pulmonary disease. I got v. good advice, not only for my disease, but for myself coping with my ill wife in hospital> I was told that, initially, they book you for a six week period. If you feel you need more, you can (They don't shout "MORE???" at you! it's worth it
