Eklira Genuair 322 micrograms (Aclidinium bomide)

I have just been taken off Spireva Respimat and given the above inhaler to take morning and night. Has anyone heard of it or used it?

grandbrian yes im on elkira its good for lung functiln,takes like 3week u will feel better endurance wise,no side effects as yet bin on it 4month now,and lung function improved

I`ve been on that for about 6 months now It`s ok but tastes awful ,i always have a glass of orange juice ready for after I`ve inhaled it

taste isn't so bad I have water to wash nouth out with,as sum ppl cant have orange juice with hitus hernias water grandbrian swill mouth out taste gone,

Thanks Whit, Yes I have found the taste not so good. I can put up with that if it does the job !

Yes l have been on this inhaler for 3 months but have great difficulty in making it click. l think it is because l have not got enough puff! Has any-one else got this problem?

I havent heard a click yet but I am a little deaf,however I do get the red window. And as you say a fair amount of puff is required to take the dose, something in short supply eh ! ! ! Regard

grandbrian shake it,then clik once no matter u hear or not wen u clik once it works,then breathe it in ,u will hear a pow,rinse mouth ot with cold water,if sometime u don't hear pow/its cs the end wants a wipe with ur finger round the hole to keep it clear,dont clik again ,then breath it in for the pow,ask ur wife to listen if u are a bit deaf ye,the red window means uve used 1 hence the clik,green wen ur using 1,theres 60 init,the dial goes down 10 like 60 50 40 30 20 10,wen mines low gps practise deliver all mine week be fore ,don't remind them either,got an ok gp now ad cr,p 1 be 4,remember it u clik an nought ot wipe the hole do not clik again just breathe it in ,im deaf as I had meninjitus at 14.but deaf ppl sence the motion sound,

The problem is the window does not go back to red but stay's on green.Am l getting the dose or not?This can take 2 or 3 day's to change to green.

If the window stays green, you are not sucking hard enough to get the dose and have the widow go red, ready for next time.

No click would confirm that. Do try to inhale long and hard. Easier said than done maybe.

Do you also have Ventolin as rescue med?

yes l have ventolin nebulisers and inhaler,l also have a seretide inhaler and use oxygen 8-10 hours a day. l have managed make it click once in the last 4 days!

sorry about that Caroll. abitof finger trouble , yes I think it has started I seem to be improving albeit slowly. I am just about to go out with Pat and dog to the shore for a bit of sea air, as you suggest I .need to try . and push myself. Best Regards Brian
