The only way I can describe it is if you've ever put on that capsaicin cream and then you got a little bit in your mouth by mistake. Or maybe how your skin would feel if you got a very mild sunburn just enough that you feel it sting lighty. It feels like this from my nose back and not my lips but all inside including tongue.

Hi, my first post. Curious does anyone get stinging/burning in mouth and sinuses before/during an attack?

Hi Marktime
You post is very interesting.
Can’t say that I get a burning sensation in my mouth/sinus however I definitely do in my chest and lungs.
It’s quite painful for me and gets worse as my asthma deteriorates. I have tried to explain this to medics - especially when they ask about tightness but they don’t seem to understand that it’s not tight - it burns!
Over the years I have just put this down to the inflammation in my lungs but it’s so weird as if I can ‘taste’ it.
It’s very difficult to explain the feeling but I sympathise with you as if similar to mine, the effect can be quite painful and is a sure indication of an exacerbation to follow!
Interested to hear others thoughts!
Take care
😊
