Yes. No change in any of my other meds - I was put on mart by the respiratory clinic at the hospital.

Yes. I've taken both for years.

Always read the leaflets in the medication package. It should tell you contraindications and what you're not advised to take alongside important meds.

Yes I’ve been on MART using Fostair for about a year now. No blue inhaler. Continued taking my Montelukast and Fexofenadine as usual. I felt a bit nervous to start with but it’s worked well for me.

I have been on Monday for nearly 9 years. I was switch to Mart regime after being hospized with pneumonia end of last year.

Yes I am on MART with fostair and continue with montelukast - been on these for quite a few years now, seems to be what does the trick. Also on a few other things but I think these 2 are the key ones.

My GP said I can use the Fostair up to 8 times a day which seems a lot but my blue inhaler and Fostair twice a day is not doing the trick, thank you for your comment

I am up to 8 a day, 4 a day is what I definitely have to take but if I’m having a flare up it’s 8 a day - if you ring the Asthma and Lung UK helpline and ask to speak to an asthma nurse they will be super helpful and explain all the ins and outs of MART. Spreading out the 8 doses over a day has really helped me. It took me a while to get the hang of MART, I use a spacer with the inhaler which also helps a lot - there’s a video on their website which is great for showing how it should be done.

Is that 2 puffs 8 times a day or 1 puff 8 times a day x

I do 8 puffs a day in total and do them 2 at a time, usually 2 in morning and 2 in evening and the other 4 I take as needed.

I have been advised to always take the full 8 during a flare up.

If you did 2 puffs 8 times a day that would be 16 - double the max daily puffs of 8.

Read the instructions on the inhaler box.

This will give you the minimum and maximum.
