Hi, Does anyone have had any bad experiences taking Fostair and Montelukast? I ended up in A/E the other day for over 10hrs after waiting 3hrs for an ambulance which 111 requested. Lucky enough my sister came to visit and took me, by this time my lips and face were blue. I know we are all different but I don't tend to tolerate meds well anyway. My feet and legs were so swollen, plus I felt like an electrical conductor. I had severe pain travelling up and down my body, palpitations and it seemed to have triggered off my heart rate again! After waiting for 10hrs I discharged myself at 3.30am , I had all the tests done ECG, bloods and the results were back by 9.30pm the previous night so by 3.30am the next day I just needed my bed and I couldn't wait anylonger. I will be making an appointment with my GP 1st thing in the morning. I have a feeling it was the Montelukast that caused this but I just wandered if anybody else had problems?
Thank you for your patience if you got to the end of this long message 😆.

Dear Bowcat,I was on Montelukas for a very long time and didn't really have any noticeable side effects. I was taking off it last year for a reason not explained to me. It was replaced with Baclofene, which made me to cough non stop. My GP asked me to stop it.
Thank you Ossing for your reply. They told me in A/E that it was probably the pills that was the cause of my Tachycardia and neuro problems. I guess we all react differently though don't we to different Meds.
I have had Fostair and Montelukast . Fpstair I still have and is fine with me, even with AF - Montelukast I never liked from the start and stopped it, never caused or triggered AF though, although I have SVT in those days not AF as far as I know.
Funny because all my nerve endings were agitated. Too many side effects that I stopped taking it.. since then I've started to feel better. Strange medicine
