Asthma
GPs are under pressure to keep prescriptions to the minimum required medically. I get one a month. It depends on the dose prescribed to some extent. I carry my inhalers from place to place in my man bag. I rarely have one go out of date. Having said that I can ask for an extra if I need it and it wil be prescribed. MM
You need to know how to phrase the request, ring the asthma UK helpline, on 0300 2225800, ask them for advice.
Hi
Why don’t you buy them privately? They are not very expensive and if they went out of date are obviously not being used that often to have to keep replacing them.
Saves all the hassle I reckon? 🤷♂️
Good Luck 👍
Swap one of the out of date ones so each venue has a good one to use and one marked dont use or a red cross on it. I'd also check how long out of date ones can actually be used. Some medicines last longer than their use by date. I suppose it's the cost, they are quite expensive. Perhaps your prescriber will relent if you absolutely promise to best rotate them in future?
