Apparently pollens are very high atm, my hay fever bad, Cetirizine works for me, and still getting over chest infection so asthma been dreadful, so I think it's both in my case. Trouble is there's so many different pollens about hard to pinpoint which affects you most. Have you tried anti- histamines? Also I find sunglasses help a lot, keeps pollen, bright sunlight etc out of your eyes which can trigger allergies and exacerbate asthma. Good luck. 🤞😎

We are currently in the absolute peak of grass pollen season, after a very wet spring weather, it has also caused grass pollen to start early. I am also finding my asthma to be at its worst and many friends also suffering with hay fever.

I would recommend lots of anti histamines and a steroid nasal spray. apparently vaseline can help trap pollen if you put it around the nose.

I would also speak with your asthma nurse too to see if they have any advice, but hopefully things start to calm down for us all in the next week or so! hope you feel better soon

My asthma and hay-fever is suffering at present. I have two hepa air purifiers, which are helping a lot.

Have you got the results yet. My allergy testing was for pet, dust mite, mould, aspergillus, grass & something else which I've forgotten. Severe reaction to mould and mild reaction to aspergillus so at least I can avoid those apart for dampness in autumn/ winter - luckily I could keep the dog! In my experience my asthma has changed with age and as I get older different pollens affect me more. I take half a ceterizine tablet at night, half is sufficient for me.

You can develop an allergy at any time. I was fine with my cat for years, then wham. Cat had to go. But wait for the results until you do anything!

I totally agree. I am not allergic to cats, but I would never get one since I would not want to have to let the animal go.
