Going through my first c o p d flair up frightening as l got older its worse.l am pat 73 years old on my own.

do you have a rescue pack. Do you have an action plan agreed with your gp. Can you contact your gp. Sorry for the questions but sounds like you need help and it is always best practice to deal with exacerbations speedily.

Ring the asthma UK helpline on 0300 2225800, office hours, they are really friendly, and can check your meds are sensible and that you are doing all you can.

If you want to meet some people with similar issues, asthma UK do a number of online courses, free of charge, I have done their breathe easy programme and harmonica course. Some of it was too much for me, but it did not matter

Lots of us are issued with antibiotics/ sometimes steroids, to keep at home to start eg weekends,bank hols,take on hol,perhaps whn u can't see a Dr & start with a flare up.

Worth asking at nx appointment.it saves delaying the start of treatment but some drs won't issue thm
