Swollen lymph nodes in neck

Hello everyone. This feels like a bit of a random question. I am taking Fostair 200/6 and have developed swollen and tender lymph nodes on the left side of my neck. I have no other symptoms of any infection. Could this be linked to the steroid inhaler? I haven’t contacted the doctor yet as I was waiting to see if they go down on their own.

Brief history, 51F, I had pneumonia last January and was diagnosed with eosinophilic asthma which took about 8-10 weeks to get under control. Started Fostair in Feb. Since April I had no asthma symptoms at all and doubted there was anything wrong. Then in December, I developed a chest infection and had another exacerbation and felt really ill. Followed my asthma plan, had oral steroids and ABs and was ill for 2 weeks. Completely recovered now, peak flow back to normal then woke up with swollen glands (left side only) on Sunday. Apart from a stiff neck and nodes that are tender, I have no other symptoms at all, not even a sore throat. Breathing and PF is fine. Last time I had swollen glands I think I was a teenager!

It is a bit of a mystery and wondered if it was a recognised ICS side effect, and have any of you also had it?

cheers, Gill

I wouldn't have thought the swollen glands were due to the Fostair.Oddly enough I have had a chest infection and my glands / lymph nodes have been very swollen this last month. I never usually have this issue so maybe it's a particular virus/infection causing the swelling?Either way definitely worth getting checked out if you're worried at all x

thanks friendly! If it was when I had my chest infection, I’d completely agree, but this is with no other symptoms of infection. Still a bit of a mystery to me.
