I’ve just been notified that my GP is changing my Fostair 200/6 to Luforbec - allegedly, the same medication. I appreciate that Luforbec is £8.00 or so cheaper than Fostair - and I am prescribed two each month (I have them as MART) - it would obviously save the GP practice a fair amount. Please has anyone been changed to Luforbec - and if so, did you find any change to your symptoms?? Many thanks for any input….😊

I would keep daily peak flow readings, starting while you're still on Fostair, so that if there's a flare up of your symptoms, you have evidence that the Luforbec isn't satisfactory. Don't hesitate to go back to your GP if the swap proves detrimental to your asthma.
My doctors just tried to do the same to me, but fostair has been the best inhaler I've ever used, I've been officially asthmatic since I was about 23, I've been searching for the right inhaler that would work for me then along came fostair so there was no way I was going to change to a generic, as it might have the same ingredients but it won't be made the same way, so I'd say if fostair workd for you then contact your doctor and tell you want to switch back to fostair because them saving money is not your problem your health is more important
