Hi just wondering if anyone else with asthma gets a heavy aching on their left chest and left shoulder blade which hurts when you breathe in deep?
Asthma and chest pain. : Hi just... - Asthma Community ...
Asthma and chest pain.
I'd get that checked out asap before you ask here. Are you experiencing that now? I would get seen asap just to make sure there's nothing going on that needs immediate attention.
This should direct you where you need to go - might be GP, might be A&E: 111.nhs.uk/
I get a sharp left sided chest pain just before a bad asthma attack. However cardiac team checked it out before accepting that it was actually asthma related.
I would say absolutely get this checked out by a medical professional.I've had this with both pleurisy and pneumonia but it might be neither of these. We are firstly not diagnostic people and secondly can not see what is going on with you.
Hope all goes well.
As others have said, this should be checked out now if you've not already seen a medical professional. I've not had this with asthma. All the best.
Yes I get that quite regular, a couple of years ago had a test to check my heart and they found that I have a leaky valve, all my gp said was some people are born with it not to worry, good dr eh! But for your own safety get it checked
yes I have done and then discovered I had pleurisy!! Now always worry but it’s usually s pulled chest muscle from deep breathing and coughing 😂
yes, I’ve been getting this since I had pleurisy in December. It is very slowly getting better.
could be a chest infection
Get yourself checked out at the GP.
It could be many things as well as a bad Asthma bout. Fir instance, it could also be a bad chest infection or Bronchitus, Costrchrondritus (arthritis of the ribs), pnemonia and/or Pleurisy (another form of pneumonia or even a cardio issue.
When you get these stabbing pains always visit GP. There is always a reason for them ... so you are not wasting anyone's time if thats what you are worring about.
I've had the above issues mentioned .. all of them at one point or another with and without the diagnosis of being asthmati .
I suffer from have chostro and cardio today. I am apparently particularly "falable to" broncail, pnemonic disease (the later diagnosed 5 times now in 30/35 years and infections .. So much so, I now have to have a pnemonia jab every 10 years .. bit like the annual flu jab). All these issues have symptoms that cross over or are very similar to each other.
Visit your Gp. Your body is telling you something is really " not quiye right!". I do Hope that you end up and it turns out to be on the fairly minor scale of these issues mentioned above tho' and you feel better soon. X.
Yes, I have had this regularly over the years. Once I was told it was pleurisy, twice i had pneumonia and last year it was due to allergic asthma. The symptoms always felt the same for me as you described. I was diagnosed also with psoriatic arthritis, a year ago so in my opinion, for myself it's tied into the chronic inflammation from this. But whatever it is, a respiratory nurse/ doctor is your best bet and ASAP. Good luck, hope you feel better soon.
