Hello,

Have recently gone back onto a combination inhaler, Symbicort 100/3, and find that whenever I take it I get an unpleasent aftertaste in my mouth. This occurs even with using an Aerochamber and washing my mouth out afterwards.

Anybody have a similar experience or have some advice?

Many thanks!

Hi Hayman111,

I was on Symbicort but was then changed to Clenil Modulite. I always wash my mouth out too and have found that both leave a strange aftertaste. Now I was and brush my teeth which has helped a little. Good luck.

Hi Hyman 111 I have been on Symbicort for about 10 years. I was always told to brush my teeth with toothpaste straight after using my inhaler. Don’t know if that will help?

HiHayman111

I have been on Symbicort for nearly 3 yrs I always rinse my mouth out & also gargle then have a swish of mouthwash afterwards this seems to do the trick, like any new inhaler you have to give yourself time to adjust - hope it improves for you
