Tender back and chest = harder to breathe

Hi all, hope you are all keeping well.

I have a question for you! Does a costrochondritis flare cause tender feeling all over rib cage area of chest and shoulders? I have this at the moment and if I lightly touch anywhere it feels bruised, and breathing feels harder - plus I gained indigestion type symptoms for days which I am convinced are related. Does that sound right?

Got the very useful chat on a phone with my respiratory consultant next week- look forward to him being able to do nothing ‘as he can’t see me’ again!

Rant over!

Thanks in advance :)

all I can remember of my costrochondritus, is pain. Difficult to breathe everything hurt. I'm lucky it happened ten years ago. Be very gentle with yourself.

Thank you, I will. Sleeping seems to help when I can get it :)

I also suffer from this also. Pain in mid chest and can radiate to your back and shoulder blades. Usually triggered by respiratory infection. HEAT pads help and pain relief. It passes with time. Makes you take a shallow breath.

You will get better with time.
