Hi, I’ve just received a letter from the NHS saying I’ll be eligible for treatment if I get Covid, that the NHS will contact me if I test positive, and that they will send me a pack of lateral flow tests.
I was surprised to get it as thought Covid was not thought to be as dangerous as previously thought for those with asthma. Anyone else received?

I also had this letter I think it’s about how serious your condition is and if you take steroids often as they effect your immune system
I take steroids every time I get a chest infection and that happens every two months so I am on a lot of steroids but I definitely need them as they are a vital part of my treatment
Yes I received this. I actually just had covid and recieved an infusion to stop me getting seriously unwell. I think without it I'd have ended up in hospital as my Sat's were on the low side and I couldn't get out of bed for nearly a week.
Glad you got treatment and hope you are recovering well. I had Covid a month before I got the letter 🙄. Luckily I wasn’t too unwell but it went straight to my chest and I was started on steroids.
yes i also got the letter and LFT through the post and a PCR test that i do if i get a positive test. I know i got it as i have severe Eosinophilic steroid dependant asthma so a compromised immune system. Also if you received that letter then you can still order LFT from online like before
