Hi! I have brittle Asthma. I had the 1st dose of C19 vac in July and I had an adverse reaction to it and ended up in AnE. I also suffer from idiopathic angiodema (anaphylaxis to an unknown allergen).
I have decided not to have anymore covid vaccinations, potentially it could be life threatening if I have an attack of either Asthma or IA.
Is anyone else NOT going to have the vaccs?
Would my health qualify for medical exemption?
Thank you in advance for any thoughts and advice …. 🙂

I think it's your choice you know what you can cope with. But I would discuss it with your gp or consultant for clarification on exemption. I know my friend had two severe adverse reactions to first 2 jabs admitted to hospital both times needing life saving treatment for different things both times. But was still advised to have it, she only had booster as wants to travel next year and had no reaction to booster just a headache for a day. Good luck.
I know that there’s a small possibility you may have a reaction; however COVID-19 will almost definitely put you in icu and probably worse. Talk to your GP and get the booster as soon as you can
If you do have a second jab I would insist it was different from the 1st. There are some people on the Brittle Asthma Facebook page who have had this to either AZ or Pfizer and switched and have been fine but do discuss with your Chest Physician, they will help with making the decision with you.
This is also true. My first dose was AZ, but I had an allergic reaction to it. They were concerned about me going into anaphylaxis if I had it again, so my allergist took over and gave me Pfizer as my Second and Third primary doses.
Hi 👋To start with - It is your own personal choice.
I’ve severe asthma and after much consideration I decided against getting the jabs. I’ve been inoculated against many things, prior to covid.
That being said, I by no means treat this virus lightly. I’ve implemented various safeguards into my daily regime. I also must add that I’m on and off prednisone quite a lot.
